To identify novel (genetic) determinants and modifiers of cardiac electrophysiology in an unbiased way, we apply genetical genomics approaches incorporating large-scale electrophysiological phenotyping in rodents and human genome wide association studies with systems biology and proteomics. Identified genes of interest are subsequently studied for functional relevance using transgenic models and human induced pluripotent stem-cell derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC-CMs).
